Tuesday, April 18, 2017

7:11 a.m. Reporting party (RP) advised of black cattle out on Highway 132 by the S curve. Advised Garfield County.

8:57 a.m. Controlled burn on County Road 620 south of Highway 58 west of Byron.

11:49 a.m. RP advised of a man on his front porch yelling for the law. RP did not know the man's name. RP asked individual’s name and if he needed an ambulance. RP advised the man said he did not need an ambulance. Advised officer. Officer advised medic was needed. Medic en route. Medic with patient en route to Share Medical Center in Alva.

1:51 p.m. Controlled burn on junction of highways 8 and 45.

1:54 p.m. Controlled burn southwest of Jet.

3:19 p.m. Deputy had one white male in custody.

3:32 p.m. Officer had one male in custody.

3:44 p.m. RP advised of a controlled burn on Highway 8 and Caddo.

5:15 p.m. Deputy served papers.

5:42 p.m. Deputy served papers.

5:49 p.m. Deputy served papers.

5:54 p.m. RP advised she had locked her keys in her truck. Advised she will be in the backyard, under the carport. Advised officer.


6:12 p.m. Deputy served papers.

6:14 p.m. Deputy served papers.

6:42 p.m. Controlled burn at County Road 560 and Kiowa Road.

7:18 p.m. Deputy had a traffic stop at Cole Road and Highway 58.

7:26 p.m. RP advised her friend had low blood sugar and needed an ambulance. RP stated the patient would be downstairs. Paged Helena ambulance. Medic advised the patient refused transport.

7:35 p.m. Controlled burn 5 miles north of Cherokee.

9:22 p.m. Deputy had a traffic stop at County Road 570 and Greer Road.


9:34 p.m. Deputy had a traffic stop at County Road 590 and Greer Road.

10:47 p.m. RP advised of a tree across the road at County Road 730 and Carter Road. Advised commissioner.

Wednesday, April 19, 2017

2:48 a.m. RP advised there was a fire at Caddo and Highway 8 on the west side of the road and didn't see anyone around. Made contact with the landowner and he was still out with it on Caddo and kept checking on it with the wind picking up.

3:55 a.m. RP advised there was a fire involving a wooden fence and possible pole. Tried house in the area but no answer. Burlington and Amorita & Byron fire departments were going out to take care of the pole and the fence was out at the time.


3:53 p.m. RP advised her brother was tearing up her stuff and wanted him removed from her house. Office en route. The mother came up to the dispatch. Advised officer. Officer wanted mother to come to the house. Officer left scene. RP called back wanting an officer. Advised she was still having trouble with the brother. Officers en route. Officer advised both parties they legally reside at the residence and they have to get along. Advised also if the officer had to come back, they both would be arrested.

6:25 p.m. Deputy had a traffic stop on Highway 11.

6:12 a.m. RP advised an 80-year-old female had fallen and hurt her knees and was requesting medical help. Paged medic. Medic was out. Paged officer. Dispatch had no visual contact on the camera. Called resident for keyholder information.


8:02 a.m. RP advised of three black cows out bewtween County Road 510 and 520 on Jefferson Road. Unable to locate.

8:03 a.m. Controlled burn at Fifth Street and Main in Carmen.

8:11 a.m. Controlled burn at Caddo and County Road 640.

1:54 p.m. Deputy served papers.

2:22 p.m. RP advised of a 60-year-old male who had fallen and hit his head and was bleeding. Paged medic. Medic en route to Cherokee Manor. Medic with patient en route to St. Mary's Hospital in Enid.

5:16 p.m. Controlled burn 2 miles south of Helena on Caddo and County Road Caddo.

6:51 p.m. RP advised his window on his vehicle was broken out. Advised officer. RP advised it possibly could have been when he was mowing and didn't want to make a report.


7:55 p.m. Officer had a traffic stop.

10:56 p.m. Deputy had a traffic stop.

11:14 p.m. Officer had a traffic stop.

11:20 p.m. RP came in the office about a man crying and children screaming from the house across from the street, south of her location. She was standing outside with her husband when a man started screaming and crying. They could her part of the conversation about what was going on in the house. Sheriff advised and asked deputy for backup. Sheriff requested DHS. Deputy advised to send a medic and Carmen first responders. Medic en route to Share Medical Center in Alva.

5:16 a.m. Central Station Alarm Company advised a residential alarm was gong off on County Road 750 and no one should be around. Deputy notified of the situation. Deputy advised everything was okay and it possibly could have been lighting.


7:12 a.m. RP advised of five calves out north of Carmen on County Road 550 in pasture west side of fence. Possible owner was contacted and will advise if they were his.

11:47 a.m. RP reported water over the road on U.S. Highway 64 and County Road Custer. Contacted ODOT and Grant County.

2:05 p.m. RP stated she was a passenger who had been involved in a two-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 64 and County Road 550. Air bags didn't deploy and advised there were no injuries. Medic and CFD were paged. OHP notified and deputy en route. No transport.

3:38 p.m. Officer had one subject in custody at Fifth Street and Grand.


4:11 p.m. Officer had one subject in custody on Fourth Street.

5:53 p.m. RP advised her son's bicycle had been stolen in Oklahoma in Alfalfa County. Advised she will be called soon as possible by a deputy. Advised deputy.

\6:30 p.m. Man advised a box semi truck and box trailer was stuck on railroad tracks. Contacted OHP. OHP advised the truck was unstuck. Railroad company advised of they will have an inspector check it out.

7:39 p.m. Officer had a traffic stop at Main Street and Ohio.

9:34 p.m. Deputy needed an officer to call him ASAP. Deputy and officer on Third Street and Massachusetts to recover stolen property.

10:15 p.m. Deputy advised they needed an ambulance to Carmen in the 300 block Fifth Street. Medic en route. Medic advised they didn't need any transport.

11:13 p.m, Sheriff had one female in custody.

11:14 p.m. Deputy had one subject in custody.

11:19 p.m. DHS worker called and asked if an officer could help her with a standby while she was at the Jiffy Trip with two children who had been removed from their parents' house to ensure safety. Advised one child was asleep and the other one was hungry and she didn't want to leave either alone at this point. Notified the officer of the situation and he was going out to stand by.

7:28 a.m. Dispatcher advised they needed a medic at the jail for a inmate. Medic en route. Sheriff had the inmate in his unit and was taking her to Share Medical Center in Alva.

7:57 a.m. RP advised cattle were out on Fifth Street by the football field.

8:24 a.m. Dispatcher paged medic to come to the jail. Medic en route. Inmate refused transport.

9:02 a.m. Controlled burn 1 mile west of Jet and ¼ mile south on County Road 700.

9:25 a.m. Medic needed for 86-year-old female complaining of high blood pressure and rubber legs and having trouble walking. Paged medic. Medic advised no transport.

10:26 a.m. RP advised they needed a deputy to come to Nescatunga to report a German shepherd who had torn the tin siding off his wife's home. Advised the dog was chasing cats and was trying to get them under the shop and had torn the siding off. He also advised he had called before and nothing had been done. Deputy advised he will make contact with RP.

12:06 p.m. Woods County and another RP called in reference to livestock in roadway on Greer on County Road 530. Owner contacted and put them back in.

12:30 p.m. Deputy advised of a traffic stop.

1:16 p.m. RP stated there was a nonemergency and he was calling from Kansas and wanted a VIN verified. Dispatch advised the line was for emergencies only and they didn't verify that kind of information for anyone but law enforcement.

1:18 p.m. RP advised of two dogs killing his cat. Advised the dogs were a pit bBull and a boxer who had gone south. Advised officer. Officer called Salt Plains Vet to see if they could house the dogs. The vet advised he would meet the officer. Officer advised both animals were with the vet.

3:14 p.m. RP advised he was in a lot of pain and unable to get around and needed help. Paged medic. Medic with patient en route to St. Mary's Hospital in Enid.

6:16 p.m. Officer had a traffic stop.

7:28 p.m. RP advised a man had mowed part of her lawn and the part mowed was sage and she grows sage for medical purposes. RP advised the man was on a riding law mower and wearing an orange cap. RP wanted an officer and wanted to file charges. Officer en route.

8:08 p.m. A medic was need for a 79-year-old man having chest pains. Paged medic. Medic with patient en route to Bass Hospital in Enid.

9:12 p.m. RP advised of a herd of cattle out on road south of Cherokee. Caller missed them but car behind them hit two of them. Advised they didn't think he was hurt. Sent OHP information. Unknown injuries. Paged medic. Sheriff found the owner. Medic had no transport.

9:14 p.m. RP advised of a man west of Goltry running toward Goltry, wearing black shirt and black pants and no shoes. RP thought it was odd. Advised deputy along with accident south of Cherokee.

11:58 p.m. OHP in pursuit of a vehicle running through the junction of highways 11 and 58 east of Burlington, north of the correction line. Deputy was requested. Notified sheriff. OHP eastbound on Osage and County Road 650. OHP advised they think they lost the vehicle. Sheriff in the area and everything seemed okay.

2:21 a.m. RP advised of a Chevy four-door pickup with lights off on a location when he pulled in it and took off to the west. Advised OHP and deputy.

8:50 a.m. Sheriff advised of an abandon Chevy at the four-way on the side of the road on Highway 11. Contacted possible owner and they were on their way to pick up the vehicle. Received multiple calls.

9:17 a.m. RP advised of a bull on U.S. Highway 64 between county roads 500 and 510. Possible owner contacted and will go see if they are his.

11:02 a.m. Controlled burn on County Road 510 and Harmon Road.

11:51 a.m. RP advised a dog was out and it bites. Advised officer. Contacted individual who might be able to get the dog to come to them and will be there in about 10 minutes. Advised officer of the information. Individual was on scene and had the dog back inside his fence.

11:57 a.m. RP advised someone did a donut in his yard and they seem to be drunk. Advised officer. Officer out of vehicle on Fifth Street. Description of the vehicle was a green Ford truck. Officer going to look for the other party.

1:24 p.m. RP would like to talk to an officer in reference to his neighbor shooting off guns for the past two hours in Jet. Deputy advised will make contact with the RP.

2:35 p.m. Woods County advised Dacoma Fire Department requested mutual aid from Carmen Fire Department for a grass fire near a structure that was south of the Green Valley Church on County Road 460 and Highway 45. Woods County advised the fire was out.

2:50 p.m. RP advised there was a dead puppy in the 300 block of Grand. Advised officer.

3:42 p.m. Officer had a traffic stop.

4 p.m. Controlled burn 2 miles north of Carmen elevator.

4:13 p.m. Controlled burn 1 mile west of Jet.

4:48 p.m. RP advised of a man riding up and down west Main Street on a four-wheeler. Advised officer. Officer made negative contact.

7:03 p.m. Goltry Fire Department advised of a Brady Crain going to burn a trash pit from Highway 45 and County Road 710.
