Two Alva residents were injured in a collision Monday morning, April 24. Susan Darlene Perks, 55, of Alva was admitted to Share Medical Center in stable condition with internal trunk injuries. She was a passenger in the vehicle driven by Roy Earl Perks, 56, who was treated and released at Share Medical in Alva. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.

The collision occurred at 11 a.m. at U.S. Highway 281 and Hughes Road, one mile north of Alva. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, Roy Perks was driving a 2008 Pontiac Torrent north on US 281. Braxton Charles Kornele, 19, of...
