At a special meeting of Kiowa's City Council April 20, they took action on a handful of items. One of those was acceptance of the resignation of longtime City Clerk Marlo Rugg.
She's accepted a position as administrative assistant for the City of Park City, Kansas, near Wichita, with a population of about 7,000. She'll be in an office of about 10 people where the Park City Police Department is also housed. Rugg said Park City is building a new city building.
