As you know, I try to use these columns as a way to share what’s happening at the state Capitol. Sometimes I share how the process works, and other times I highlight policy or legislation that could affect our part of the state. Today, I would like to tell you how much of a privilege it is to serve the great people of House District 58.

Our district is actually the second largest in the state. While every representative serves roughly 37,500 constituents, lawmakers from more rural areas serve a far wider swath of land compared to representatives in more urban areas. This difference in represen...
