Two charged with marijuana possession

Two Alva residents are facing felony charges involving an investigation from December 2016.

Charges were filed April 20 against Keisha Marie Fischer, 36, and James Wallace Weinhoffer, 52, for possession of controlled substance (marijuana) within 10,000 feet of a school. This crime is punishable by imprisonment for four to 20 years and a fine of not more than $10,000.

According to court documents, on Dec. 26, 2016, about 5:45 p.m. Alva Police Officers John Caviness and Keith Dale went to 118 Locust to speak to Fischer and Weinhoffer about drug activity at their residence. They knocked on the do...
