Woods County Excise Board met Wednesday

Chris Olson, Bob Seivert and Joe Shirley make up the membership of the Woods County Equalization Board and the Woods County Excise Board. Both entities had a meeting Wednesday morning, one after the other.
As the excise board, they approved the monthly appropriations for each of the courthouse offices.
When they adjourned from that, they re-convened as the equalization board and approved a Freeport Exemption for Baker Petrolite, LLC. This means the firm will not have to pay tax on manufactured products that they build but that are not used by them.
The board recessed at about 9 a.m....
