This week, May 1 through May 5, was Teacher Appreciation Week – a weeklong event designed to show the teachers of the Alva Public Schools how much we value and appreciate them.

This program has been going on for several years, and is always held towards the end of the school year to show teachers how thankful the community of Alva is for their hard work throughout the year. Teacher Appreciation Week was created so students would have a way to show their teachers how much they mean to them, and how appreciative we are for all they do.
