Patchwork Friends OHCE group learns about Woods County government

The Patchwork Friends OHCE group met for their regular meeting on April 13 at the home of Doris White. JoAnne Prewett called the meeting to order. Barbara Cue led the group in the flag salute. Devotions was given by the hostess on meditation from the book “Meet God in the Morning.” Roll call was answered by six members to “What Do You know about Woods County Government?” White introduced Teresa Cummings, her guest. Minutes were read by Gatz and approved. Prewett gave the treasurer’s report.
Liz Kinzie reported the nursing home bibs for Beadles Nursing Home were completed. It was decided to deliver them on May 18.
The lesson on “What Do You Know about Woods County Government?” was given by Prewett. She stated several county officials were at the leader lesson meeting and explained their roles. There are city officials and the county commissioners are responsible for the county affairs.
Kinzie gave a mini lesson on Mind Medication. She used an example of wanting to eat a piece of cake when it is available and then not eating it.
There being no other business, the hostess served dessert. Teresa Cummings won the hostess gift. The next meeting will be held on May 11.
