AHS baseball receive accolades from Northwest Oklahoma Baseball Coaches Association

Along with the four seniors named to the All-Star team, the Alva High School baseball team collected a few other accolades for the 2017 seasons.
In the 2017 awards selected by the Northwest Oklahoma Baseball Coaches Association, Alva picked all but one award from the large schools’ division. Rafferty Brown was named Pitcher of the Year while Scott Baugh was named Coach of the Year. The Alva High School Goldbugs also had the Field of the Year with Crenshaw Field. Kade Cronkite of Pioneer-Pleasantvale was named Player of the Year.
The AHS baseball team also had six players named to the Great Plains All Conference – Brooks Hadwiger, Ethan Swanson, Stanton Earnest, Jacob Faulkner and T.W. Beiswanger – with Rafferty Brown named as the Pitcher of the Year and Zeth Warren as Honorable Mention.
Brown, Hadwiger, Swanson and Chase Jones will be representing AHS Goldbug baseball in the All-Star game that will be held in Alva at Myers Stadium on May 24, at 6 p.m.
