Six funding requests on Alva Tourism agenda

The Alva Tourism Tax Committee has an especially long agenda for Wednesday’s meeting with six funding requests slated for hearing. The committee will meet at 5:30 p.m. May 17 in the council chambers at City Hall.
The Alva Mural Committee will present a request for $10,000 for two new murals and a pocket park.
The electronic sign on College Avenue downtown has quit working. The committee will hear a request for funds not to exceed $1,000 to repair and maintain the sign.
