HUNTER, Okla. (AP) — The U.S. Geological Survey has recorded an earthquake in northern Oklahoma.

The agency recorded a magnitude 4.2 quake at 4:32 a.m. Saturday near Waynoka, about 150 miles (241.39 kilometers) northwest of Oklahoma City.

No injuries or damage was immediately reported.

Thousands of earthquakes have been recorded in Oklahoma in recent years, with many linked to the underground injection of wastewater from oil and natural gas operations.
