We treasure the memories of the past. We remember the past for many reasons because of the blessings, encouragement and the challenges we faced. Yet we want to hold the past as sacred for another reason. We do not want to forget how we got here or how this great nation came into existence. We know this nation came into existence because our forefathers and previous generations wanted their liberty.
