On Thursday, April 11, auditions were held to determine the Electric Gold 2017-2018 members. The auditions were held in the Alva High School choir room at 7 a.m. For the auditions, each student had to sing a version of the national anthem. The auditions were judged by a former and current music teacher for the Alva Public Schools. They were also judged by Miss Bryce Lewis, the AHS and AMS vocal director.

Forty-one members were selected for Electric Gold for the upcoming school year. They are as follows. Seniors: Anna Shelite, Karsyn Madrid, Kristen Perks, Alaina Hurst, Callie Duncan, Hannah Kornele, Hannah O’Neil, Emmanuel Fragosa, Blake Mieser, Brayden Thomas, and Chuckie Knight. Juniors: Landry Gaddy, Stephanie Spellman, Priscilla Samaneigo, Leah Maier, Liberty Byrd, Austin Ferguson, Braylon Bradt, Jacob Ervin, Darian Malone, Tucker Maltby, Max Cline, and Trey Bogdanovecz. Sophomores: Abby Hurst, Kylee Harzman, Lacie Swenn, Ali Harzman, Caitlin Hofen, Kohri Seibert, Ethan Nusser, Isaac Hartle, Joseph Parker, Sebastian Vickers, and Wyatt Adams. Freshmen: Delaney Lambert, Rianna Clark, Emily Barton, Alec Ferguson, Kory Faulkner, and Samuel Houston.
