Lady Bison Capture National Crown

 


TROUTVILLE, Va. – Oklahoma Baptist wrapped itself in another championship banner as the Lady Bison claimed the NCCAA Softball World Series with an 8-1 win over Bluefield Thursday.

"Wow, that's amazing," said Coach Pam Fink. "I wasn't sure we'd ever get one of these. Our girls played great all tournament long."

McKenzie Jones and Amanda Peterson combined on a two-hitter on their way to All-Tournament status. Jones was charged with one run in her 3.1 innings of work, striking out four batters.
