We’ve officially reached the final week of session, and lawmakers have yet to come to an agreement about the budget.

Legislators all stayed in Oklahoma City this weekend waiting while leadership in the House and Senate worked to reach a deal with the governor. As I’m writing this Monday morning, negotiations are still ongoing. I fear political aspirations have been a factor with some who are key players at the negotiating table. Without some added revenue, I do believe we will see the effects on our universities, state parks and healthcare for the needy, including our nursing homes. I am hopef...
