State Representative Carl Newton to speak at Historic Short Springs Schoolhouse

 

Each year on Memorial Day at 11 a.m. the little one room schoolhouse on U.S. Highway 64 in Alfalfa County comes back to life. That is when the Short Springs Cemetery Association holds its annual meeting.

This year local musician Angie May will bring her unique "Wind Controller" instrument to entertain the group. May has performed her hauntingly beautiful music at weddings, festivals and other events.

State Rep. Carl Newton will be the featured speaker.
