Suspect located less than 24 hours after trailer stolen

 


Thursday, May 18, Woods County was under a tornado watch during the late afternoon and early evening hours. Due to the weather conditions and a sighting of a tornado near Waynoka, many businesses in Alva closed early. The streets were more deserted than usual.

Apparently someone decided it was a good time to steal a cattle trailer. It didn’t turn out so well, however. Less than 24 hours later, the trailer had been recovered and a suspect was in custody.
