Alva Review-Courier -

On Sunday, May 28, the heirs of James and Francis Scribner reunion was held at the Runnymede in Alva.

Attending were James Scribner and family members:

• Jim and Cleo Scribner, Jerry and Grace Scribner, Justin, Josh, and Jaylyn Scribner, Joel, Bridget, and Athaiah Scribner, all of Alva.

• Jack and Sandy Scribner and family members: John Sands, Jeromey, Jennifer, Katie, and Emiley Brown, all of the Enid area.

• Neal and Tricia Scribner, California and family members: Kent and Rhonda Scribner, Cherokee; Shane, Sara, and Elise Scribner, Enid.

• Also attending were Susie (Cole) Koontz, Short Springs community, and sister Virginia (Cole) Tolor, Illinois.

All enjoyed a great meal and fellowship while reliving old times and new happenings.

Sadly, cousin Kenny Cole has passed away, and Joann Cole was under the weather and could not attend. Kenny was the meal-blessing guy forever, but a good replacement was found in Rhonda Scribner.

A meal was held at a local restaurant on Friday evening, May 26, to visit with family that could not attend the Sunday meal. In attendance were Edward Scribner, Rex Beagley, James, Jim, Cleo, Jeff, Justin, Josh and Jaylyn Scribner, Virginia (Cole) Tolor, and Susie (Cole) Koontz.

Lord willing and the crick don't rise we will have another reunion Memorial weekend 2018.
