Moore selects fine art winners at Nescatunga Arts Festival

Jo Decker, director of the Graceful Arts Studio in Alva, receives ribbons for her entries in mixed media and oil and acrylics from Nescatunga Arts Festival Judge Connie Moore.

Connie Moore, owner of the Fifth Sister Art Gallery and Studio in Waynoka, judged the work of the fine artists entered in the 48th Annual Nescatunga Arts Festival on Alva's downtown square in Alva last Saturday.

The pictures of the judge presenting ribbons to the winning artists is proof positive that the skies opened up and rain dampened everything at the festival except the spirit and perseverance of the people. Artists, crafters, entertainers, food vendors and those taking in the festival all helped each other out in some way. It wasn't the ideal situation, but everyone survived and there w...
