Alva man charged with three drug felonies

 


An Alva man has been charged with three felony drug counts following an investigation by Alva police.

Solomon David Carpenter, 49, of Alva was charged with three counts of distribution of controlled dangerous substance. One was for marijuana, another for clonazepam and a third for diazepam.

According to court documents, Alva Police Officer John Caviness had begun his investigation of Carpenter in January 2017. He learned there was an unusual amount of foot traffic to and from the residence at all hours of the day and night. He also learned that Carpenter was possibly using a young juvenile as...
