Alva woman charged with drug possession

An Alva woman was arrested on possession of marijuana and methamphetamine after a search warrant was served at her residence.

Peyton Victoria Frittz, 21, of Alva was charged with possession of controlled dangerous substance (methamphetamine) and possession of controlled dangerous substance (marijuana), both felonies. The charges were filed June 20.

According to court records, the search warrant was served on May 20 about 6 p.m. at 1020 Locust St. in Alva. Frittz was in the residence. The other resident, Carson Delong, was already in custody of the Woods County Sheriff’s Office.

Items found during the search included a hypodermic syringe containing methamphetamine, new and used hypodermic syringes, a plastic bottle and a plastic baggie with marijuana residue, a jeweler’s baggie containing marijuana, a jeweler’s baggie containing two pieces of plastic with meth residue, and a starter pistol.

In a post-Miranda-rights interview, Frittz admitted to being a user of methamphetamine and repeatedly admitted ownership of the controlled dangerous substances.

Woods County Undersheriff Keith Dale conducted a limited records search finding Firttz was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance in 2014 in Woods County and subsequently convicted in 2016 where she received a five year suspended sentence.
