Cherokee man injured in collision with semi

 


A Cherokee man was hospitalized following a collision with a semi just east of Alva Thursday morning. Vincent Wade Beall, 58, of Cherokee was transported by Alva EMS to Share Medical Center in Alva. He was admitted in stable condition with head, trunk internal, trunk external, and arm injuries.

According to information from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a 2015 Freightliner semi driven by Larry Todd Drake, 50, of Stratford, Texas, was eastbound on U.S. Highway 64. Beall was driving westbound on U.S. 64 in a 1994 Honda Accord. Beall went left of center, striking the semi.
