University of Tulsa's teacher program loses accreditation

 


TULSA, Okla. (AP) — State officials revoked the accreditation of the University of Tulsa's teacher preparation program after determining the school didn't fix problems that were found two years ago.

The Oklahoma Office on Educational Quality and Accountability rescinded the accreditation after reviewing the board of examiners' findings from a spring "focus visit" to the school, the Tulsa World reported Thursday (http://bit.ly/2u2t66g ). The board evaluates all teacher preparation programs in Oklahoma.
