Study to consider Missouri River port in central Missouri

 


COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) — Central Missouri officials are funding a study to determine the need, feasibility and a possible location for a multi-modal port on the Missouri River.

The $170,000 study is being funded by Callaway and Cole counties, Jefferson City and the Jefferson City Area Chamber of Commerce.

Cambridge Systematics and Hanson Professional Services Inc. will conduct the study.
