Ray was the first-born son to Richard (Rich) and Frances “Ricke” Schmidt in Barber County, Kansas, on September 27, 1928, and passed from this life on June 30, 2017, in Harper, Kansas. He met his future wife, Eileen, in North Dakota, married and started a family.

He is survived by his wife, Eileen; three sons and one daughter; nine grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; two brothers and five sisters.

Memorial service for Raymond will be Saturday, July 8, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at St Boniface Catholic Church in Sharon, Kansas, and Rosary will be Friday, July 7, 2017, at the church at 7 p.m. Burial...
