Many tree branches downed in Kiowa Friday


Maybe the worst uprooted tree in Kiowa's storm was at the Pat Holmes residence on Eighth Street. The powerful winds literally ripped a huge silver leaf maple tree out of the ground and into the southwest corner of her home, which was the bedroom where she slept. All over town, sturdy trees were snapped like toothpicks.
