CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — A community college in southeastern Michigan that's being sued over its expressive-activity policy says the rules balance First Amendment rights with the safety and security of students and visitors.

Attorneys representing Turning Point USA announced this week that the organization's Macomb Community College chapter was challenging the policy in U.S. District Court in Detroit. They say the policy violates the conservative student group's free speech rights.
