Now that we have recounted the history of the Cold Beer golf tournament, the next thing we ought to cover is a review of the rules. On the Cold Beer golf course, the numerous local adaptations to the USGA rules of golf are a bit hazy, although they are strictly enforced by the new tournament director, Danny Quartieri, and his wife, Shelly. Some tolerance is allowed, however, while participants are near the hospitality area by the fourth hole where liquid consumption (of various beverages) might be expected to be the highest.
