Forgiving like Jesus

By the time you read this week’s offering, I will have succeeded or failed at the following task: Describe what it means to “forgive like Jesus.” On the surface, it seems fairly simple to find passages about the forgiving nature of our Lord. He told the woman caught in adultery, “I don’t condemn you – go and sin no more.” In the middle of His model prayer, he reminds us that in order to be forgiven by our heavenly Father, we must first be willing to learn to forgive. And, of course, he is famously quoted as proclaiming from the cross, “Father, forgive them. They don’t know what they’re doing.”...
