Cherokee man charged with felony domestic assault

 


In addition to eight recent misdemeanors, a Cherokee man is also charged with felony assault and battery in Alfalfa County. Domestic assault and battery by strangulation, a felony, was filed against James Craig “Chopper” Patterson, 45, of Cherokee on July 3 in Alfalfa County. He is charged with willfully and intentionally strangling his girlfriend, Jillian Sue Carrasco, by grabbing her by the throat and squeezing to the point she was unable to breathe and was seeing stars.
