A fresh, new spirit calls First Presbyterian home

After a year-long search for a new pastor, following Rev. Dr. Judye Pistole's retirement, First Presbyterian Church of Alva is welcoming its new spiritual leader – and she's new in more ways than one.

Rev. Sarah Chivington-Buck, 35, graduated from San Francisco Theological Seminary on May 20 and was ordained on June 18.
