Oklahoma court upholds 2 life sentences in women's deaths

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals has upheld the life-without-parole prison sentences of a 27-year-old man convicted of the 2014 shooting deaths of two women.
The court handed down the decision Thursday in the case of Quantell Jamar Alverson, who was convicted of two counts of first-degree murder in the Nov. 26, 2014, deaths of 26-year-old Amanda Drywater-Douglas and 37-year-old Jennifer Lynn Sudar.
