Alva residents got a peek Friday and Saturday at the preliminary work for a film project coming to Alva the second week in August entitled "The Waving Wheat Trilogy," to be directed by Alva native Lance McDaniel.

On Friday, McDaniel and his two other producers, along with local guides Rhett Rhodes, Emma Cook and Lynn Martin, visited at many businesses around town that might provide ready-made "sets" for the three films that make up the trilogy. A set might be a kitchen, and then the customer area of the restaurant might be in a different building but edited to make it appear the original kitch...
