Doulas help maintain family ties for pregnant inmates

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — In 2011, Brittany Seaver gave birth to her third child. It was her first while in prison.
She was looking for support during her pregnancy, but the confines of prison made support difficult to find. Two days after giving birth, the two were separated — the baby went to Seaver's mom, and Seaver went back to her prison cell.
"It's a super dramatic, scary situation," Seaver told the Minnesota Daily (http://bit.ly/2t4AmBB ).
