Man charged with letting 11 year old drive car

 


An Alva man is in jail after reportedly letting his 11-year-old son drive his car. Zachary Scott Starr, 37, of Alva has been charged with felony child neglect. This crime is punishable by imprisonment in the custody of the Department of Corrections not exceeding life imprisonment, or by imprisonment in a county jail not exceeding one year, or by a fine of not less than $500 nor more than $5,000, or both such fine and imprisonment. Starr’s bond has been set at $7,500 and his next court appearance is Sept. 12.
