FFA members Julie Owen, Shadi Nettles and Karlee Dietz left Guthrie on June 13 for a 30-hour bus ride to DC for the FFA's Washington Leadership Conference. When they arrived the Oklahoma kids took a tour of the Mt. Vernon home and grounds. While visiting they saw many historical monuments such as the Jefferson Monument, the World War II memorial, the Iwo Jima statue at the Marine Corps War Memorial, and many more.
