BJCC welcomed Oklahoma Senator Wayne Shaw, District 3, to speak to a group of inmates at the Benson Center last week. Besides being a senator, Shaw is a long-time minister of the gospel.

In this past legislative session, the senator introduced several bills and was a proponent for other bills to help reduce incarceration expenses. Gov. Mary Fallon praised legislators when she released a list of eight important reforms that will go into law this fall.
