Sunday, Aug. 6, was the ninth Sunday after Pentecost. The order of services as the Freedom United Methodist Church was:

The Light of Christ was brought in and candles lit by Shay and Jack Wilson.

Announcements: Roger and Cindy Wagner are having a birthday celebration for Shirley Wagner in the Freedom Methodist Church Fellowship Hall on Aug. 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. They request cards only, no gifts. This is a come-and-go celebration.

On Aug. 13 the Quinlan Methodist Church is hosting an ice cream social at 6:30 p.m. All are invited to come to Quinlan UMC for ice cream.

On Aug. 16 we are hosting a noon luncheon for the Freedom teachers and staff. Please come help serve if you are available.

“Happy Anniversary” was sung to Bruce and Dixie Stansberry. They are celebrating 57 years of marriage.

Joys and Concerns. We are so thankful for all those who attended our worship service this morning. Please remember Jason, Alyssa Hillman and their family as Jason recovers from his accident. He is at Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation Center in Oklahoma City. Also, please remember all those on our prayer list.

Wednesday morning devotions are at 10 a.m. at the Sweet Things Shop on Main Street. On Aug. 12, Shirley Wagner’s birthday celebration is from 2 to 4 p.m. On Aug. 16, we are hosting a noon luncheon for the Freedom School teachers and staff.

Everyone is invited to attend our Sunday morning service at 11 a.m. Sunday school starts at 10 a.m. Please come join us as we worship the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
