LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Latest on a former U.S. Customs and Border Protection employee charged with sexually assaulting a woman at Los Angeles International Airport (all times local):

12:40 p.m.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection says it will not tolerate actions that tarnish its reputation after a former employee was charged with sexually assaulting a woman at Los Angeles International Airport.

Los Angeles County prosecutors said Kanwar Dhaliwal is scheduled to be arraigned Friday on sexual battery by restraint, assault by a public officer and other charges.

Prosecutors say Dhaliwal was working as an agriculture specialist for CBP when he approached the woman in August 2014 and made sexual advances. They say he then pushed the woman and sexually assaulted her.

CBP spokesman Jaime Ruiz says Dhaliwal is no longer employed by the federal agency and had separated from CBP in September 2016.

He says CPB places "great emphasis on the integrity and professionalism of our workforce."
