New charge filed in unloaded shotgun shooting

A new charge has been filed in a case involving a shooting injury to a Waynoka youth. The incident occurred the night of April 2, 2016. Draven Michael Smith, 19, of Waynoka was struck in the chest by a pellet from a supposedly unloaded shotgun shell. He also had another mark on his shoulder.

A juvenile from Ringwood, Princeton Monroe Stonecalf, age 17 at that time, was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, a felony.
