The BancCentral-sponsored Cruise & Car Show is now approved for its usual venue, the downtown area of Alva. Joe Phillips, co-director of the event, attended the Woods County commissioners meeting held Monday, Aug. 14, to speak to the board about the Cruise & Car Show, which will be held Sept. 15–17. In his short speech, Phillips spoke of the success and draw of the event, as it attracts thousands of people to Alva every year and is one of Alva's bigger events.
