Dr. Troy Smith warns about solar eclipse eye-damage

Alva optometrist Dr. Troy Smith made a brief announcement at the Alva Kiwanis club Wednesday to be careful and not permanently damage your eyes by attempting to watch the solar eclipse directly.

Also, Smith warned of the danger of burning out the sensor on your cell phone or digital camera if it is pointed at the eclipse without a strong neutral density filter.
