School supply sacks donated

Sharon Walker and Jan Eden spend a Saturday afternoon stuffing red sacks with school supplies. Pens, pencils, paper, notebooks and Kleenex boxes are just a few of the things that students and classrooms will receive.

Once again the Freedom Educational Foundation (FEF) donates school supplies to the students of Freedom Public School (FPS).

Pencils, pens, paper, notebooks and flash drives are just a few of the things that the FEF has donated for the past 10 years to FPS's students. The act of searching, buying, organizing each student bag is done by Sharon Walker and Jan Eden.

"I figure that each bag of supplies cost approximately $42," Walker said. "That can be a relief to a large family with a number of kids."
