Ribbon-cutting set for new Ames water-treatment plant

Ames, Iowa (AP) — A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held this week for the newly completed Ames, Iowa, water-treatment plant.

The ceremony and open house will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday. Mayor Ann Campbell, current and former City Council members, state agency representatives and other elected officials will participate in the ribbon cutting. Following the ceremony, tours of the facility will be provided, exhibits and displays will showcase the water treatment process, and an art exhibit will be on display.
