An Alva man has been ordered to undergo mental observation and evaluation following a competency hearing in Woods County District Court Wednesday.

William E. (Bill) Dickey Jr., 65, of Alva was charged with stalking in violation of a court order, a felony, on July 12, 2016. He had been released on a $5,000 bond while awaiting resolution of the case. A motion was filed to revoke the bond on Nov. 30, 2016, but after a hearing the bond was reinstated with additional stipulations including not leaving his residence after 6 p.m. He was allowed to leave his residence for food.
