A large crowd of motorcycle riders assembled Saturday morning, Aug. 26, in front of the Radio Shack store in Alva. The group, NW Riders and Friends, conducted their 7th annual Christmas motorcycle Fun Run for Children. The registration fees collected from each participant will go into a fund to buy Christmas toys. Several trophies will be given to the bikers, but those were donated or sponsored by local businesses. The ride started at about 9:30 a.m., and the last rider was to be back in Alva at 4 p.m. at the Moose Lodge.
