NW Riders fun run raises nearly $5,000 for Christmas toys

The NW Riders' seventh annual Christmas toy fundraising fun run raised $4,800. The money originated from participation fees.
The winners in various categories include:
• Longest Distance – Karl Thiessen and Diana of Claremore
• Rider: High Hand – Ethan Feidler
• Rider: Low Hand – John Vickers
• Passenger: High Hand – Marilyn Corr
• Passenger: Low Hand – Jilisa Jackson
• "I Tried" – Todd Fink
• Youngest Driver – Chucky Knight (age 17)
• Oldest Driver (completing the route) – Tim Warren (age 70)
• Kid's Choice – Blake Brown
• Best of Show – Chris Orr
• Best Paint – Brett Ackerman
• Women's Choice – Randy Savely
• Pick 6 – Brett Ackerman, Richard Jackson, Luke Lyons, David Huckabee, Churcky Knight and Chris Orr.
Unfortunately, two of the nearly 50 drivers, both on trike type bikes, collided near Isabel, Kansas. One was transported by aircraft to Wichita and the other by ground ambulance to Wichita. The accident occurred when one driver accidentally drove his bike over the top of the other one as they were about to make a turn in the route. One was 88 and the other was 63.
