Alaina Hurst wins Miss Alva

Five Alva High School senior girls competed Sunday afternoon for the Miss Alva title, which entitles the winner to represent Alva High School in NWOSU's Cinderella Competition. Master of Ceremonies for the program was Brickman Bradt.
Alaina Hurst, voted winner by judges Angela Lyon, Charlie Burns and Riley Faulkner, was crowned by last year's winner, Kimberly Stuck, before a crowd filling about 75 percent of Memorial Auditorium. Hurst also won the poise category of the competition.
