Officers asked to remove drugs, Cherokee man charged

A Cherokee man wound up with drug charges after his girlfriend asked law enforcement to remove illegal drugs from a residence and vehicle.

According to court documents, the woman told OBN Agent Brandon Powell that she had been a user but was trying to quit. She said she didn’t want to be around her boyfriend as long as he was using and she just wanted him to get help.

On Aug. 21 Alfalfa County Sheriff Rick Wallace told Powell someone was in his office and wanted to give drug information. Powell arrived and interviewed the woman. She told him she was driving her boyfriend’s vehicle which...
