Cross Country Finishes Second in Bob Gravett Invitational at OBU

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Henderson State cross country team, behind a dominant effort from sophomore Samantha Nickell, finished with a team score of 28 points to finish second at the Bob Gravett Invitational in Arkadelphia on Friday evening. The Reddies and rival Ouachita Baptist finished the race tied with 28 points, but the Tigers were declared winners on NCAA tie-breaker rules.

Nickell, who finished eighth in the same race as a freshman in 2016, won the 5K race in a time of 21 minutes, 58.46 seconds to pace the Reddies. The win is the second individual victory of her career, after the Freed...
